Scotland through pictures

You have been forewarned. This is possibly the longest post in history, so prepare yourself. Go put on some comfy pants, get a drink, go to the bathroom, and tell your loved ones you won't be seeing them for a while.....

There are so many photos, I could only put in half (or so). Here are some of the ones I found to be the most entertaining. And to avoid making this post even longer, I will make very minimal comments and let the pictures do the talking...ok, are you ready? Here we go!
Here are the Godard boys at the border of England and Scotland!

It was super windy out there on the hills.

Some info. about the flags that I thought was cool.

View at the border of England and Scotland.

On the train to Edinburgh.

Walking the streets of Edinburgh...but not that way.

The "fun kilt," as opposed to your "every day kilt" I guess.

Cool bagpiper at Edinburgh castle.

Woohoo! Another Harry Potter find!

More Edinburgh...

As we were leaving to get back on the train after Edinburgh, I found this pretty rose. You can see a cool monument in the background.

Robert the Bruce Monument.
(he's in that little film called Braveheart...but not the Mel Gibson guy- that was William Wallace)

Good old Rob again.

Scottish Royalty...yeah that's right.

Cool royal hall at the castle.

These tapestries were done by hand...ca-razy!

Nate on a big rock at the castle. :)

I liked this statue because he was wearing a kilt...that's pretty much it.

Just read the description on the sign.

Doune Castle

Here is Ben doing his best re-creation of galloping and hitting coconuts together. (you have to be a nerd to understand...don't worry).

Love the pictures. Looks like you're having lots of fun! I love Edinburgh. I've been to that castle before. I went to summer school in Scotland a long time ago in Elgin. (closer to Inverness....I swear I saw the Lockness monster there :-) ) I'm also related to Robert the Bruce. I think I may gank those photos! Or maybe you can send me copies. My favorite picture is the one of the castle from Monty Python. Love the sign for it. How funny.

Awesome! What a cool trip! And on a train no less.

I liked the display on the history of the Union Jack. And the Doune Castle sign was hilarious!

That's a really amazing place! I got goosebumps with some of the pictures. Tell Ben I appreciate his re-enactment, that made me laugh for like 3 minutes...that's a lot ;)
By the way, I really liked the "silly Lorna Doune movie." I guess they know better then me haha. Nate is so cute! He always has something funny prepared for his fans. :)
