Utah

We were lucky enough to have an excuse to fly out to Utah last week and par-tay with family!
(Andrew went and got himself married!)Don't worry, this was not the wedding (although a pirate theme could be interesting..no?)Ashley and Clint introduced us to a cool new Restaurant in Orem called "Pirate Island." Nate of course loved it...so much so, that he was shaking with excitement!
Poor little guy couldn't contain himself!

It was like Pirates of the Caribbean meets Goonies...pretty sweet.Spence meeting his Aunt Ashley and Uncle Clint for the first time!More bonding moments. Meeting Great Grandma Thompson for the first time too!

Next, we decided to pay a visit to BYU campus. Ben and I hadn't been there since we graduated. It was fun to walk around and see what has changed, and what was the same.

And of course, no BYU visit would be complete for me without a visit to The Creamery on 9th!Nate was a big fan.Spence anxiously awaiting his ice-cream tasting...
Yes, Ben always makes kissing faces when he eats his ice-cream. Actually, I'm not sure what is going on here with him, but I couldn't pass up this chance to share such a lovely picture. Sorry Ben...I'm sure I will be dead when you find this. :)We also stopped by Uncle Daniel and Aunt Amy's
so the boys could meet their cousin Chloe for the first time! This is where they sat for most of the night. They LOVED her.
Nate still tells me how cute baby Chloe was...Little cousins with Grandma and Grandpa Godard!Just the boys...
We got to visit Aunt Joanne and some more cousins! Nate and Spence had a blast at their house. Payton even let Nate come see him practice at his horse lessons!
Nate is holding out his hand in the picture because he just fed the horse a treat.
He loved it so much that he did it 3 times...lucky horse! Thanks Ashley for watching the boys so we could go to the Temple for Andrew's wedding!
It was such a fun trip, but of course, always too short!

I actually know someone whose reception theme was pirates. They weren't married in the temple and I think just the bride was an inactive member. Anyway her mom was telling me about it and how much fun it was. I would have loved to do a costume or themed reception if it were around halloween or something. We're definitely going to that restaurant next time we're in utah.

Gasp!! I can't believe you guys didn't call!!! Even just for dessert! So sad to have missed you! Maybe next time, seeing as the chances we will get out to the east coast are slim :( Its a fun restaurant. We went a couple weeks ago. The boys LOVED it!

Jessica,

Sorry we missed you guys too! Ben and I even talked about trying to see you. We were only in the Provo/Orem area for one day though we stayed at Ben's aunt's which was north of Salt Lake). We were doing family and wedding stuff for pretty much the rest of the visit, which was really short anyway. We wanted to visit all our friends, but there just honestly wasn't any time. We were really sad about that. By the way, where are you guys living now? I don't think I have your address or number.
