When in York...

Waiting for the train for a quick trip up to York...

These boys are ready to go! They love riding the train!

You can't tell from this picture since it's not the greatest, but these are the famous "Shambles" in York. They are a bunch of really old market shops down this alley. (The two buildings at the end of the alley are even leaning in toward each other, but I'm not sure if they've always been that way). It felt like something out of Harry Potter. Pretty sweet.

The York Minster Cathedral. We haven't been inside yet...but we will.

York is known for being a historic Viking town, so we decided to check out the Jorvik museum. The boys loved all the wax vikings. Let's just say it was an "interesting" tour of Viking life...including ALL aspects.

Cool castle tower.

Inside the York Castle museum. It was all hands-on, so the kids had a blast.

For the ladies.

Nate doing his best to be a "miserable" prisoner.

...And Spence pretending to sample some prison food. That kid will eat ANYTHING!
We didn't get to see everything in York since there was so much, so I'm sure I will be posting more pictures from there at some point. Maybe we will have a car by then!

the boys are so cute and have grown. Nate's hair is longer (probably because you can't cut it w/o your tools) I love Ben's expressions. I recognize the places- fun to see!

I feel moving is like having babies, you forget how bad it is until you do it again....
